How do I know I have a tight iliacus muscle?

The iliacus is one of the primary hip flexor muscles (along with the psoas) that is very prone to developing tension, whether it be from sitting, overuse in athletics, weakness, stress, hypermobility, compensation from a prior injury, etc.When tight and imbalanced, these muscles create alignment issues around the lower back, pelvis, and hips that ultimately contribute to tightness and pain.To learn more:
